Hughes Landscaping is owned and operated by myself, Bruce Wayne Hughes Jr., locally born and raised here in Cenla. I have learned many skills and trades in 13 years of my professional working career. Some of those trades/ jobs include: Asst. manager at Outlaws BBQ, Production plant worker at Roy O Martin, Quality control inbound/ outbound inspector at QPSI, Salesman at RGC auto sales, Tugboat deckhand at Cooper/ T. Smith, Professional painting at Bryan Chumney's Painting, Commercial and residential construction (built houses from ground up) for several companies. At 15 years old and still in high school, one of the very first jobs i had was of course landscaping. My buddy and I decided to do yard work to make money. One of the first jobs we got turned out to be the most beneficial and educational to date. The customer had a good friend, who was a professional landscape designer, that came to stay a while from out of state. For that week, and a couple more weeks through out the next 2 years, we was trained and mentored on the correct ways and techniques of many landscaping aspects. After high school, I decided to go and learn other trades. I did, however, do landscaping projects for friends and family periodically on the side through out the last 13 years. I have recently decided to get back to what I passionately love to do, landscaping.
